Defend Yourself When Mobs Come Knocking

How to Defend Yourself When Mobs Come Knocking

(Modern Survival.org) – If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that the fabric of American society is much more fragile than originally thought. Some major cities have experienced riots for eight weeks so far. You need to know what to do, and how to do it in order to protect yourself and your family.

Just because you’ve done nothing wrong, doesn’t mean you won’t be a victim of mob violence. You could be on your way to get sugar to bake cookies and be attacked. In these situations it’s imperative that you know your rights, saving yourself and staying out of trouble.

If at all possible, the best thing you can do is avoid areas where protests are taking place, eliminating any chance of you being attacked.

Going through an area where protesting is taking place can become dangerous. Many states have self-defense laws, varying from state to state. Most of these laws are similar and require reasons to legitimize your actions.

If the protesters are being peaceful, but blocking the road, you can only wait. If you strike a protester with your vehicle while they did nothing to provoke you, you’ll be facing charges.

If at any point a protester becomes violent, you are allowed to use the necessary force to stop them. This doesn’t mean use deadly force. Deadly force should only be used if you or your family is directly threatened. Deadly force is not acceptable in most states for the protection of property.

The bottom line is, you need to know your state and local statutes. It is your responsibility to know these laws as they vary from state to state. This is not legal advice, nor does this encourage the use of deadly force. That decision is yours to make when and if the time comes.
