(ModernSurvival.org) – With COVID-19 running rampant through communities all over the globe, leaders and officials are being forced to make difficult decisions. Some of them may only serve to make matters worse…
One such tough decision is to release inmates to slow the transmission of the virus through jails. The LA Times reported on March 31, that California is set to release 3,500 prisoners in an effort to reduce coronavirus infections spreading through their prison system.
While the convicts being released are generally low-impact, low-violence offenders, New York is set to release two violent criminals. The men were involved in an armed robbery that led to the death of NYPD Detective Brian Simonsen.
The threat of criminal activity is already on the rise as people are becoming desperate and targeting essential supplies — not only from stores, but from each other as well. Releasing criminals into the public is only going to increase the threat of lawlessness we’re already facing. As survivalists, we need to make sure our families are well-protected. There’s no telling how long this is going to last — or how crazy things may get.
