Many food survival experiments have been done, but in the end, peanuts always seem to come out on top as one of the best foods to consume. Peanuts have a high oil content, are an incredible source of protein and store relatively well.
Protein and power bars may seem like a good choice but you have to keep in mind that they make you very thirsty. Crackers not only make you thirsty but they don’t offer much in nutritional value to help sustain the levels of energy needed in a survival situation.
Peanuts are known to pack a lot of nutrition in just one serving and are a good source of protein. They are also lightweight, easy to store and ready to eat which gives them high ratings for any type of emergency situation.
